Cultist Covidiot Creamed In New Jersey House Primary

The New Jersey Advance reports:

Businessman Bob Healey defeated gym owner Ian Smith to win the Republican nomination Tuesday to take on two-term Democratic Rep. Andy Kim this fall in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District, according to a projection from the Associated Press.

The AP called the race around midnight with 83% of the votes counted. Healey was up by nearly 53% over Smith’s 28%.

Smith, co-owner of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr won fame among conservatives in New Jersey and across the country for defying Gov. Phil Murphy’s coronavirus lockdown orders.

Smith, who was sentenced to five years in prison in 2007 for DUI manslaughter, last appeared on JMG in March 2022 when he was arrested for….DUI.

In January 2022, Smith and his business partner were both sentenced to one year of probation for repeatedly defying New Jersey’s lockdown orders.

Smith has reportedly paid $1.5 million in fines. Most or all of the fines appear to have been covered by crowdfunding appeals.

As I’ve previously reported, Smith beame a folk hero to Fox News, winning praise from Fox hosts after literally kicking down the boarded up doors to his gym after the state shut him down for defying COVID regulations.

In July 2020, Fox & Friends exultantly reported live from Smith’s gym during a protest at which white supremacists waved the flag of the Three Percenters militia.

Smith was endorsed by Michael Flynn but I can find no evidence that he landed the coveted nod from Hair Furor.
