MSBNC reports:
Many Republicans crossed party lines to vote for HR 7791, the Access to Baby Formula Act, which passed the House on Wednesday with 414 “yes” votes. However, the bill — which comes amid a crisis where parents are struggling to procure baby formula for their children — was voted down by nine Republican lawmakers.
The “no” votes were cast by GOP Reps. Andy Biggs, Lauren Boebert, Thomas Massie, Clay Higgins, Matt Gaetz, Chip Roy, Paul Gosar, Louie Gohmert, and Marjorie Taylor Greene. The bill now goes to a vote in the Senate.
The Hill reports:
A handful of Republican lawmakers bucked their party on Wednesday in votes on two separate bills aiming to address the nationwide baby formula shortage causing rising concern for parents across the country.
The main bill, dubbed the Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act, passed in a 231-192 vote that mainly broke along party lines. Four Republicans and one Democrat did not vote.
The legislation would grant the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) $28 million in emergency funding to respond to the scarcity of baby formula.

Last week, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik called Dems “pedo grifters” and railed that Dems didn’t “…present ANY PLAN or urgency to address the nationwide baby formula crisis…” Last night she and a majority of the GOP voted against funding to address that crisis. https://t.co/treyLRIxHs

The 414-9 vote is for continued access to purchase formula with WIC during the shortage.
The 231-192 vote is for $28 million in emergency funds to the FDA to help speed up and safeguard formula production.
Either way — Republicans suck.
