Penn Live reports:
Lt. Gov. John Fetterman said Sunday that he suffered a stroke on Friday caused by a blood clot that was removed, but his U.S. Senate campaign “isn’t slowing down one bit” just two days before the Democratic primary.
In a statement released around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Fetterman said he was still in Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital for observation, but that he would be released “sometime soon” and “back on the trail” after taking time to rest and recover.
“The good news is I’m feeling much better, and the doctors tell me I didn’t suffer any cognitive damage,” Fetterman said. “I’m well on my way to a full recovery. So I have a lot to be thankful for.”
