Hate Pastor Claims He Dropped Tax-Exempt Status

Newsweek reports:

A right-wing Tennessee pastor who said Democrats could not be Christians due to the party’s pro-abortion rights stance has claimed he has given up his tax-exempt status.

Following his comments, the religious advocacy group Americans United For Separation of Church and State (AUSCS) said the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) needed to investigate Locke and determine whether he had made partisan political remarks.

“Guess what I did this week. I got an attorney and I dissolved our stinking 501c3 in this church because the Government ain’t gonna tell me what I can and what I can’t say. So, IRS we don’t need your stupid tax-exempt status. You can put it in a bag and burn it in your front yard for all we care. I renounced 501c3 communism in this church.”

Mediaite reports

Locke has stirred plenty of controversy for his outlandish sermons that have urged his followers not to get vaccinated, claimed VP Kamala Harris is leading a sex trafficking ring, and most recently that Christians can’t be Democrats.

“You cannot be a Christian and vote Democrat in this nation. I don’t care how mad that makes you. You can get as pissed off as you want to,” he screamed during a sermon in mid-May.

“You cannot be a Christian and vote Democrat in this nation. They are God-denying demons that butcher babies and hate this nation,” he raged.

RELATED: Locke, of course, is most infamous for claiming that there’s no such thing as COVID and that the vaccine is a Satanic/Nazi plot by the deep state to take away bibles and guns. He first appeared on JMG in 2020 when he threatened to kick in the teeth of a teenage Dunkin’ Donuts employee for asking him to wear a mask in the store. Shortly afterwards, Christian sites reported that Locke had been cheating on his wife with a much younger church secretary. He and his wife then divorced and he married his mistress. Locke was banned by Twitter in November 2021. In February, he complained that that “haters” were sending him dildos in the mail and hexing him because he’d exposed six witches among his congregation.
