So this blew up Twitter overnight:
Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk on Thursday suggested that his political stand over the years has shifted towards the right. While the buyout has garnered a lot of interest and predictions on the future of Twitter, Musk tweeted a political cartoon originally created by Colin Wright without any context.
Tim Urban, a writer of the blog ‘Wait But Why?’, explained how certain liberals felt with the Democrats moving further to the Left extreme leaving some liberals out of place. Further explaining his stance, Musk replied to Tim Urban’s thread, “I strongly supported Obama for President, but today’s Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists”

It’s true that on aggregate, the right has moved more to the extreme than the left in Washington. But the small group on the far left has become very *culturally* powerful & out of fear, the rest of the left has often allowed them to speak (and make policies) for the whole left.

Jesus H. Christ, @elonmusk is getting dumber by the minute.
Whose extremists tried to overthrow the government, Muskrat? pic.twitter.com/f30hUCT3Tw

The GOP is Banning books, Banning abortion, Banning Black history, Banning transgender teens, Banning saying “gay” and Banning ways of voting. But get this: Elon Musk says the Democrats are the extremists.

Imagine thinking the extremists are the Democrats and not the party that attempted a coup for a racist gameshow host https://t.co/ls04rKo7tT
