Now, for years now, Democrats have been beating the drum on the supposed “dangers to democracy” that lurk everywhere.

But this nomination is the epitome of a danger to democracy. One person, with life tenure and a robe, twisting the relevant statute or court precedent to reach whatever policy goal she prefers.
