Former President Donald Trump called into Fox News late Wednesday night only to be cut off once he brought up his 2020 election lies. Primetime opinion host Laura Ingraham was asking Trump about “a lot of weakness in the United States” and where NATO stands as Russia mounts an invasion of Ukraine.
“I think you’re exactly right, I think that’s what happened,” Trump said.
“He was going to be satisfied with a peace, and now he sees the weakness and the incompetence and the stupidity of this administration, and as an American, I’m angry about it, and I’m saddened by it,” he continued. “And it all happened because of a rigged election. This would have never happened.”

Don’t forget: AFTER he lost election, Trump unilaterally withdrew from the Open Skies Treaty, giving Putin cover to withdraw too. Ukraine begged us not to, because it would rob the west of the best surveillance should Putin invade. Now we dont have it. Another gift from Trump.

Trump is again cozying up to Putin.
It’s part of an ugly pattern.
He welcomed and used Russian help in his 2016 campaign.
He withheld military aid to Ukraine to get help in his 2020 campaign.
And it won’t be the last time that Trump undermines US security.

One thing worth keeping in my mind today: There’s a straight line from Russia’s attack on the US election in 2016 to 1/6 to today’s new invasion of Ukraine. The chaos that Russia unleashed with the election of Trump weakened us to the point Putin feels confident invading Europe.
