Hagedorn’s wife is the former GOP Minnesota chair because in August 2021 she was forced to resign in a sex trafficking scandal involving a top Republican donor.

Hagedorn first appeared on JMG in 2020 when it was reported that he had flown commercial after learning he’d been exposed to COVID during a meeting with Trump, who publicly announced his infection the next day.

In December 2021, he refused to cooperate with House ethics investigators looking into reports that he improperly awarded contracts to companies owned by his aides’ relatives.

From 2002 to 2008, Hagedorn authored a now-deleted blog, Mr. Conservative. Blog posts included sexist and Islamophobic comments, complaints about Barack Obama, remarks against Native Americans, homophobic statements, and anti-Mormon and antisemitic comments.
