Yahoo Entertainment reports:
Bob Saget, who played Full House dad Danny Tanner, has died. He was 65. “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today,” the Saget family said in a statement obtained by Yahoo Entertainment on Sunday.
At just after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Orange County, Fla., Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, where the actor and comedian was found unresponsive in his hotel room. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.
Saget became a TV star playing the widowed father of three girls on Full House. It initially ran from 1987 to 1995. A reboot, Fuller House, was on from 2016 to 2020.
The Orlando Sentinel reports:
Saget, who was on a tour of Florida cities with his stand-up comedy act, performed Friday night at Hard Rock Live at Orlando’s Universal CityWalk and then at a show Saturday night in north Florida.
After his last performance on Saturday night in Ponte Vedra Beach as part of his “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour,” he tweeted at 3:42 a.m. Sunday, expressing how much he enjoyed performing.
John Stamos, who co-starred with Saget on “Full House” wrote, “I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”
