Canada is set to advise its population to avoid international travel while provinces ramp up vaccinations to combat the fast-spreading Omicron coronavirus variant.
But efforts to head off a rising COVID-19 wave are complicated by public pandemic fatigue.
In a meeting with provincial premiers on Tuesday, Trudeau also discussed a possible ban on non-essential incoming travelers, CBC News reported.
