Cheney Fact-Checks Trump’s Latest Lie About Riot Panel

The New York Daily News reports:

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) is punching back hard at former President Trump as the dispute with the Jan. 6 committee over White House records heats up at the Supreme Court.

The Republican rebel fact-checked Trump’s claim that the committee was backing down from its push to obtain the potentially incriminating trove of files, which might include videos he made as his extremist supporters stormed the Capitol.

The twice-impeached former president portrayed the move as the committee backing down in what he derides as a “witch hunt” aimed at smearing him.
