Politico Playbook reports:
Senior Democrats privately discussed censuring Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) over a video seemingly promoting violence against political opponents during a private leadership meeting Monday night, according to multiple sources.
Democratic leaders have not made a final call about what to do with the far-fight Arizona congressman and want to discuss their options with rank-and-file Tuesday. However, there is considerable support among top Democrats for moving forward with censure.
Democrats also discussed removing Gosar from his committees, provided Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) doesn’t do so first.
