The Arizona Republic reports:
“When it comes to the audit, like the three audits that preceded it, it’s now over,” Gov. Doug Ducey said on Twitter. “The outcome stands and the 2020 election in Arizona is over.”
Ducey, a Republican, did not plan to watch the audit results as they were released Friday. The governor certified the election result last fall and has stood by without vocal criticism as members of his party launched the review.
In his statement, Ducey said he would work with the Legislature to “strengthen confidence in our elections system.” He offered one change: Raising the threshold for recounts.
