The New York Daily News reports:
Incoming Gov. Kathy Hochul is set to on Wednesday hold her first press conference since Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation over allegations that he sexually harassed 11 women.
The low-key lieutenant governor, who will take over the gubernatorial reins once Cuomo leaves office on Aug. 24, picked the Blue Room of the State Capitol in Albany for the highly-anticipated 2 p.m. appearance.
The choice of location appears pertinent in that the Blue Room was the venue for many of Cuomo’s pandemic briefings over the past 18 months, for which he earned widespread praise before sexual harassment scandals engulfed his administration earlier this year.
