The Washington Post reports:
The first half of the TikTok video shows a muscular Russian man with a shaved head doing push-ups, jumping out of a plane, and staring down the scope of a rifle.
The second half shows a brightly animated U.S. Army ad telling the true story of Cpl. Emma Malonelord, a soldier who enlisted after being raised by two mothers in California and graduating at the top of her high school class. The U.S. Army said its ad showcases the “the deeply emotional and diverse” backgrounds of its soldiers.
But to Sen. Ted Cruz, who retweeted the TikTok on Thursday, the contrast with Russia’s campaign instead made American soldiers “into pansies.” “Holy crap,” Cruz said in his viral tweet. “Perhaps a woke, emasculated military is not the best idea …”

The TikTok video has gone viral on Telegram channels featuring fascist and anti-Semitic content.
CNN reports that TikTok video is “Russian propaganda.” The hashtag #KremlinCruz trended at #1 overnight.
Holy crap.
Perhaps a woke, emasculated military is not the best idea…. https://t.co/8aVFMW98NM

I’m enjoying lefty blue checkmarks losing their minds over this tweet, dishonestly claiming that I’m “attacking the military.”
Uh, no. We have the greatest military on earth, but Dem politicians & woke media are trying to turn them into pansies.
The new Dem videos are terrible. https://t.co/19pYGa8cYk

Holy crap.
Perhaps a U.S. Senator shouldn’t suggest that the *Russian* military is better than the American military that protected him from an insurrection he helped foment? https://t.co/Ja3P78wnrv

Perhaps he should be thanking these badass women?

Because you served in the military so you know, right? The U.S. military is second to none. Please keep it out of your political theater. I hear there are actual problems Congress needs to address. BTW didn’t you swear to support and defend the US Constitution? https://t.co/3vZPz7HDmw

Am I surprised that @TedCruz is mocking our military as “emasculated”? No.
This is the coward who wouldn’t even stand beside his own wife when Trump publicly talked shit about her.
