NOM: Big Business Backs LGBTQ Rights, Send Money

Via email from hate group leader Brian Brown:

Dear Joe— 420. That is the number of major companies who have joined the “Business Coalition for the Equality Act” of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Dozens are Fortune 500 companies. They’re names we recognize from daily life, like Apple, Facebook, Google, PepsiCo, Neslté, Netflix, Kellogs, and General Motors. Between them, they have business operations is all 50 states, a combined annual revenue of $6.8 trillion and employ over 14 million Americans…

This is what we’re up against. This is the size and scope of the corporate lobby pushing Chuck Schumer to have a vote in the Senate on HR 5, the so-called “Equality Act.” And, let’s face it, HRC itself is a formidable lobbying force, raising almost $50 million annually.

This is certainly a dangerous time, but we should not despair of prevailing. There’s obviously sufficient opposition to this terrible legislation that it has not moved forward quickly. We need to exploit this opportunity and mount a strong opposition today. Please make an emergency financial contribution today to help NOM generate that opposition against this unprecedented attack on our values and way of life, and stop the Equality Act in its tracks.

Finally, if you are in a position to be able to give even more — $5,000 or even $10,000 — please do not hesitate to call NOM directly and we can discuss how best to put your gift to good use in this important fight. You can reach us at 202-457-8060, ext. 110. Whatever you are able to give, be it large or small, we need your help to fight the huge corporations and special interest groups pushing for the Equality Act every day. Can I count on your help?
