McCarthy Condemns QAnon Rep’s Holocaust Claims In Lame Whatabout Statement After She Triples Down

Forbes reports:

Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is not backing down from her comparisons between coronavirus restrictions and the Holocaust, in which around six million Jews were killed by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945, instead doubling down in a Tuesday morning Twitter rant.

Greene said a Tennessee supermarket’s decision to add a “vaccination logo” to the name badges of vaccinated employees is “just like” the yellow stars Jews were forced by Nazis to wear to identify themselves.

Just issued by Kevin McCarthy:

Marjorie is wrong, and her intentional decision to compare the horrors of the Holocaust with wearing masks is appalling. The Holocaust is the greatest atrocity committed in history. The fact that this needs to be stated today is deeply troubling.

At a time when the Jewish people face increased violence and threats, anti-Semitism is on the rise in the Democrat Party and is completely ignored by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Americans must stand together to defeat anti-Semitism and any attempt to diminish the history of the Holocaust. Let me be clear: the House Republican Conference condemns this language.

The final tweet below is from a pro-Trump lobbyist tied to McCarthy. He’s defended Greene in the past.
