The Christian Post reports:
President Joe Biden announced Monday that he is raising the United States refugee resettlement ceiling in a move that contrasts with the Trump administration’s immigration policies, drawing praise from faith-based refugee advocacy organizations. World Relief, the humanitarian arm of the National Association of Evangelicals and one of nine agencies authorized by the State Department to resettle refugees in the U.S., celebrated the announcement.

CWS Director of Policy and Advocacy Meredith Owen said in the statement that the increased cap “sends a clear message that the United States views the resettlement program as an embodiment of our values of compassion and welcome.”
