Former Guy Offers To Issue Personal Greetings To Fans

Posted today to Trump’s just-launched website:

Thank you for your interest in receiving a greeting from Donald J. Trump and Melania Trump for your special occasion. Please allow up to 6 weeks for processing of your request. Due to the volume of greeting requests President and Mrs. Trump receive, we will not provide status updates. Additionally, please do not re-submit your request. Duplicate requests will supersede original submissions and therefore result in a significant delay in processing.

The Insider reports:

Unlike the Cameo service, in which mostly B and C-list celebrities record personal messages for a fee, the former president made no mention of charging for the service. Cameo has become something of a popular landing spot for Trump administration castoffs. While Trump is not currently seeking financial compensation for these greetings, it’s possible he’s simply recording them just for kicks. His penchant for crashing weddings and other big parties at his properties is well-established.

The Guardian reports:

The centerpiece of the site is an 885-word history of the Trump presidency, listing the achievements of what it describes as “the most extraordinary political movement in history.” The history does, however, omit several significant moments from Trump’s presidency. Absent is that Trump became the first US president in history to twice face impeachment trials in Congress. Nor does it mention that he became the first major world leader to be banned from social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter while in office after they deemed he had used their sites to incite an insurrection.
