The New York Post reports:
The head of the NYPD’s sergeants union — who is facing up to a two-month discipline over social media posts that include calling the Big Apple’s former health commissioner a “bitch” and a lawmaker a “first class whore” — has defended his actions and says he refuses to apologize for them. In a Monday letter to union members, which was obtained by The Post, Sergeants Benevolent Association president Ed Mullins declared, “I WILL NEVER BE SILENCED.”
The Post previously reported that the Civilian Complaint Review Board police watchdog on Friday recommended a trio of charges — two for offensive language and one for abuse of authority — against Mullins for the social media posts. One of the CCRB’s recommended counts of offensive language against Mullins was in connection to a now-deleted tweet in which Mullins called then-congressional candidate and City Councilman Ritchie Torres a “first class whore” in September.
Read the full article. Mullins, who has a history of making racist comments, has appeared twice on Fox News in recent month with the QAnon mug seen above positioned for all to see. Note the praising tweet below from his union.
