The Washington Post reports:
In a wide-ranging interview with CBS News, President Biden expressed disappointment with how his predecessor handled the coronavirus pandemic, specifically the number of vaccine doses that were available to inoculate the population.
“The circumstances of how the [previous] administration handled covid was even more dire than we thought,” he said in a segment that aired Sunday afternoon.
Biden acknowledged it would be “difficult” to vaccinate much of the population by the summer and said he has ordered vaccine makers to ramp up production and received assurances from National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell that all NFL stadiums could be used as mass vaccination sites.
