At CPAC, Ted Cruz Jokes About Cancun, Mocks Masks, Ridicules AOC, Threatens BLM, Screams “FREEDOM!”

The New York Post reports:

Sen. Ted Cruz joked about his trip to Cancun amid a crisis-level storm in Texas last week, which brought frigid temperatures, widespread power outages and burst pipes that flooded homes. Speaking Friday morning at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, Cruz (R-Texas) made the remarks while kicking off his speech. “God bless CPAC,” the Texas senator began, “I’ve gotta say, Orlando is awesome. It’s not as nice as Cancun, but it’s nice.” The remark was met with laughs and gasps from the crowd.

The Independent reports:

Cruz’s first appearance since his little getaway-during-a-crisis faux pas was about as coherent as your last fever dream. “AOC is telling us she was murdered!” he laughed, because who didn’t watch that Instagram Live where Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tearfully said she’d feared the Capitol riot left her fearing she’d never get the chance to have children.

The Insider reports:

“We’re gonna wear masks for the next 300 years,” Cruz said. “And by the way, not just one mask — two, three, four — you can’t have too many masks! How much virtue do you wanna signal? In Houston where I live, I have to tell you, there weren’t any rioters because let’s be very clear, if there had been, they would discover what the state of Texas thinks about the 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms,” Cruz said.
