The New York Daily News reports:
The feds have arrested the son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation. Aaron Mostofsky, son of Judge Shlomo Mostofsky, was arrested Tuesday morning at his brother’s home in Brooklyn, the source said. He was charged with theft of government property and other charges, according to the source. He sported a fur coat as well as a ballistic shield and bulletproof vest, which is what prompted the theft of government property charge, the source said.
Gothamist reports:
His brother, Nachman Mostofsky, is the vice president of the South Brooklyn Conservative Club, and an elected district leader in the borough, who claims to have connections with high-ranking members of the Trump administration. The source said that Aaron was staying at his brother’s home when he was arrested. The attempted coup left five people dead, including a police officer who was beaten to death by pro-Trump rioters on the steps of the Capitol.
