Budweiser is pulling big bucks from the big game. For the first time in 37 years, Anheuser-Busch InBev will not air a commercial during the Super Bowl, typically one of the most talked-about ads the day after with their Clydesdale horses and, in recent years, puppy pals.
Instead, the funds typically allocated to the spots will be redirected to “support COVID-19 vaccines awareness and education,” the company announced Monday.
In a 90-second digital ad, actress Rashida Jones narrates “Bigger Picture,” a mashup of 2020′s new normal, from drive-by birthday parties to empty stadiums, before cutting to healthcare workers receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
