The New York Daily News reports:
Public schools will be closed Monday as New York City braces for a wallop of a snowstorm — but students will still be required to tune into classes via remote learning. The blizzard is set to hit the city Sunday evening and isn’t expected to let up until Tuesday.
The five boroughs could get hit with 14 to 16 inches of snow by the time it’s over, according to the National Weather Service.
The brutal blitz prompted Mayor de Blasio on Sunday to close all of the city’s school buildings — while also taking the drastic step of temporarily closing COVID-19 vaccination sites. Vaccine appointments on Monday will be rescheduled for a later date, and officials urged all New Yorkers to stay inside during the storm.
