Which is why it’s notable that the city of La Crosse, Wisconsin, recently received a check from the Trump campaign for $5,574, according to copies of the invoice and check obtained by Insider.
The Trump campaign’s check arrived a couple of weeks past due and 10 cents short. But the payment nevertheless marks a rare occasion — if not the first time — Trump’s campaign voluntarily paid a municipal police bill. So did the Trump campaign have a change of heart?
