The Washington Post reports:
Something surprising happened Friday night on Lou Dobbs’s top-rated show on the Fox Business Network.
Dobbs introduced a segment that calmly debunked several accusations of fraud that Rudolph W. Giuliani and other Trump supporters have lobbed against the election technology company Smartmatic.
The segment, it turns out, was in response to a 20-page legal demand letter that was sent this month by Smartmatic to Fox News Media.

This is remarkable to watch. After a legal threat from Smartmatic, @LouDobbs tonight ran a stunning point-by-point fact check debunking claims made about the company by himself and guests he’s invited on his program. https://t.co/PaFvqsgsQn

I spoke to @eddieperezTX, the election expert featured in Fox’s fact-checking package. He said the interview process was unusual & that he was never informed where the piece would air. He was surprised to see final product & how it aired on @LouDobbs show. https://t.co/Ns1A9t5IMp

Perez acknowledged Fox talent has made allegations that are “harmful” to election confidence. So he said he was thankful to talk to Fox: “I felt it was important … if anything potentially more important to be speaking the facts to their audience…” https://t.co/Ns1A9t5IMp
