Arizona Officials Certify Win For Biden And Harris

The Arizona Republic reports:

Arizona officials certified election results on Monday morning, sealing Democratic President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the state and handing him 11 Electoral College votes. The process of canvassing the state’s election results is usually a banal one, set in law to occur on the fourth Monday after a general election, well after the dust of the campaign season has settled.

But President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign and many within his party dispute his defeat, although their election-related lawsuits have so far been thrown out of court, and every county in Arizona has certified its results. Still, the president’s continued insistence that he won the election has made Monday’s proceedings particularly significant. The event starts a clock that will run for five days allowing anyone to contest the results.
