The Washington Post reports:
The Democratic National Committee highlights Trump’s own coronavirus diagnosis in a new television ad as evidence of his mishandling of the pandemic — one of the sharpest attacks on the subject yet.
“He was warned but ignored the evidence, holding rallies indoors, turning the White House into a superspreader and contracting the virus himself,” the narrator says in a 30-second spot that includes images from the Sept. 26 Rose Garden event at which Trump announced Barrett as his Supreme Court nominee.
Several attendees appear to have been infected at the White House that day. The spot goes on to note that 215,000 Americans have died of the virus and says there is “another wave coming.” “Had enough?” it concludes.
NEW AD: Even after testing positive for COVID, Trump continues to:
– Put lives at risk by ignoring experts
– Hold in-person potential superspreader events
– Lie to the American people about the threat of the virus
– Refuse to act or come up with a plan to contain the pandemic pic.twitter.com/r7QcMJw1x1— DNC War Room (@DNCWarRoom) October 13, 2020
