Forbes reports:
Looking to seize on positive momentum created by the groundbreaking Israel-UAE deal and President Trump’s subsequent Nobel Peace Prize nomination, the Trump campaign is sending out fundraising materials touting the nomination.
On Wednesday, right wing Norweigan lawmaker Christian Tybring-Gjedde said that he nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, an honor about which Trump has long had a chip on his shoulder.
A fundraising email sent out by the campaign, reported by Los Angeles Times White House correspondent Chris Megerian, says of the nomination “what took so long?” adding, “We’ve known all along that OUR President deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, and, FINALLY, he’s been nominated.”

If President Obama deserved a Noble Peace Prize, @realDonaldTrump deserves 100!https://t.co/Laqa7IPCdN

If @BarackObama can win the Noble Peace Prize for doing “absolutely nothing,” there is no way @realDonaldTrump should not win the nomination for Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian official, citing Israel-UAE peace deal. @CNN #peace https://t.co/Ll8Gw2BIuk
