UPenn Faculty Members Renew Call For Investigation Into Trump’s Admission After Release Of Sister’s Tapes

Forbes reports:

Professor Eric Orts, along with six faculty members, first requested the University investigate Trump’s academic records earlier this summer, but provost Wendell Pritchett said it was too far into the past to look into it, unless new evidence came to light.

Orts now claims that the tape recordings—made by niece Mary Trump as part of the research for her tell-all on Donald Trump published in July — constitute the new evidence needed for the university to proceed with an investigation.

In the 2018 and 2019 secretly recorded tapes, Mary Trump interviewed the president’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, and provided the Post with recordings and excerpts that did not appear in her book. “He got into University of Pennsylvania because he had somebody take the exams,” Barry said in one of the tapes. “No way!” Mary Trump replied.

This morning Orts appeared on CNN to say that the investigation could result in the revocation of Trump’s degree.
