GOP Illinois US House Rep. Rodney Davis Tests COVID+

Chicago’s WBBM reports:

Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis said Wednesday he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The Taylorville Republican said he has a mild fever but no other symptoms and plans to self-quarantine.

Davis said he received the positive test result Wednesday morning. His wife and the staff members he has worked with in-person have all tested negative, he said in a statement posted on social media.

“During these challenging times, protecting the public health is my highest priority. If you’re out in public, use social distancing, and when you can’t social distance, please wear a mask. All of us must do our part. That’s what it will take to get through this pandemic,” Davis said.
