FL Lifts Quarantine Rules For Visitors From NY, NJ, CT

The New York Daily News reports:

You can go to Disney World now — if you dare. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) on Thursday finally rescinded coronavirus quarantine rules on people coming to Florida from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, months after the tri-state area tamed the pandemic.

DeSantis, who is facing harsh criticism for allowing the pandemic to rage out of control, did not explain the order or say why it had been in effect for so long after the Sunshine State became a much riskier place than the New York metro area.

Florida has seen a surge in COVID-19 cases after DeSantis moved to reopen the state’s economy in defiance of guidelines calling for a sustained period of declining virus rates.
