The Daily Beast reports:
Trump campaign senior advisor Mercedes Schlapp Schlapp was left with the unenviable task of defending the president’s whiplash-inducing hypocrisy, attempting to not only make the distinction between absentee and mail-in voting but also trying to justify why some states’ mail vote is “safe and secure” while others are not.
As the increasingly hostile back-and-forth wound down and Brianna Keilar accused Schlapp of “sowing doubt” and fear into the minds of voters, the CNN anchor finally let her frustration boil over when the Trump flack claimed people will vote after Election Day.
“This is just pointless, okay,” Keilar exploded. “This is pointless. I get it, you’re just saying a bunch of crap! Okay. You’re saying a bunch of crap.”
Mercedes Schlapp is trending for the same reason either of the Schlapps ever trends:
For trying to spew complete nonsense and getting slapped around like a piñata as a result.
You’re all caught up.

“You’re aware we’re in a pandemic. So, perhaps, the approach might need to be different when it comes to guaranteeing that people have their right to vote if they have registered.” @brikeilarcnn presses Trump 2020 campaign adviser Mercedes Schlapp on mail-in voting fraud claims. pic.twitter.com/PRhqQYca53
