GOP Rep. Jody Hice In Quarantine Due To Gohmert

The Athens Banner reports:

Congressman Jody Hice, R-Ga., has entered a 14-day quarantine after possibly being exposed to COVID-19.

Hice has entered the quarantine period out of an “abundance of caution” after learning Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-TX, tested positive for COVID-19 and a second person, who he recently came into contact with, had developed symptoms and was awaiting test results.

Gohmert, a friend and colleague of Hice, announced Wednesday he had tested positive after experiencing symptoms. He is at least the 10th member of Congress known to have tested positive for the coronavirus, the Associated Press reported.

Hice last appeared on JMG when he introduced a bill to repeal a ban on churches conducting political activities.
