Florida Reports 9000+ Cases For Third Time This Week

The Palm Beach Post reports:

For the third time in a week, Florida recorded more than 9,400 new COVID-19 infections in a day, according to data reported by the Florida Department of Health.

The 9,488 new cases reported Friday mark the third highest one-day total the state has seen since the start of the pandemic. The highest total, 10,109 was recorded Thursday, and the second highest, 9,585 cases, was set Saturday.

The state also reported that 67 more Florida residents died from the disease, pushing the total resident deaths to 3,684. In all, 178,594 people in Florida have been diagnosed with the respiratory disease.
