Talking Points Memo reports:
Trump has repeatedly shared unsubstantiated claims about mail-in voting since winning the 2016 presidential election. He’s become increasingly vocal about the issue in recent weeks, as more states increase vote-by-mail opportunities due to concerns about individuals packing into polling locations during the pandemic.
After Michigan and Nevada took steps last week to increase voting by mail, Trump threatened to withhold federal funding for the states.
He also argued that Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s (D) move to send applications for absentee ballots to the state’s 7.7 million registered voters was done “illegally” and “without authorization.”
The United States cannot have all Mail In Ballots. It will be the greatest Rigged Election in history. People grab them from mailboxes, print thousands of forgeries and “force” people to sign. Also, forge names. Some absentee OK, when necessary. Trying to use Covid for this Scam!
