Billboard Magazine reports:
Lady Gaga, whose highly-anticipated Chromatica album arrived on Friday (May 29), was scheduled to host a listening session for her Little Monsters. However, as the tragic death of George Floyd has led to protests for justice across the nation, the pop star has postponed the event.
The police-related death of George Floyd sparked outrage after a video of a Minneapolis officer kneeling on the unarmed black man’s neck sparked several nights of rioting and protests in the city amid calls for the arrest and charging of the four officers involved in the fatal incident.
As much as I want to listen to Chromatica together as a global group of kindness punks right now, our kindness is needed for the world today. I’m going to postpone our listening session right now and encourage you all to take this time to register to vote and raise your voice.
