Bryan Adams Blames COVID On Chinese “Virus Makers”

Newsweek reports:

Bryan Adams has come under fire for blaming the ongoing coronavirus pandemic on “fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards.”

In a post on Instagram Monday, the Canadian singer-songwriter lamented that a number of his gigs being canceled and appeared to suggest the source of the coronavirus could be traced to wet markets that sell live animals. Although there have been suggestions the disease originated in a wet market in Wuhan, China, this has not been confirmed.

Adams was due to play a series of gigs in London’s Royal Albert Hall from Monday, but due to many countries’ social distancing rules, large gatherings and concerts remain prohibited for the foreseeable future. The shows have since been postponed till April 2021.

His full Instagram post:

CUTS LIKE A KNIFE. A song by me. Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus.

My message to them other than “thanks a fucking lot” is go vegan. To all the people missing out on our shows, I wish I could be there more than you know.

It’s been great hanging out in isolation with my children and family, but I miss my other family, my band, my crew and my fans. Take care of yourselves and hope we can get the show on the road again soon.

I’ll be performing a snippet from each album we were supposed to perform for the next few days. X❤️ #songsfromisolation #covid_19 #banwetmarkets #selfisolation #bryanadamscutslikeaknife #govegan

Adams is #1 on Twitter at this writing. As you might expect, MAGA World is rushing to his defense.

Adams last appeared on JMG in 2016 when he canceled a Mississippi gig over a proposed anti-LGBT law, resulting in attacks from people like Bryan Fischer, who said Adams had “declared war on Christ.”
