The Guardian reports:
Asked by Mika Brzezinski on Morning Joe whether the allegation is true, Biden replies: “No it is not true. I’m saying unequivocally, it did not happen and it didn’t.”
Asked about his apparent discrepancy in his comments on Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault during his Supreme Court nomination hearing, and his denial of Reade’s claims, Biden says women should be believed. “Women have a right to be heard,” he said.
“In any case the truth matters and in this case the truth is the claims are false. I’m not going to question her motive. I don’t know why she is saying this. I don’t know why after 27 years this is being raised. I don’t understand it,” he said.
