The New York Daily News reports:
First Lady Melania Trump held up a face mask in a new video encouraging people to wear protective gear – and the former model then tweeted out an image of herself wearing one.
The first lady tweeted out the health guidance Thursday after national health officials revised their recommendations – a day after putting out another video thanking front-line health responders.
‘As the CDC continue to study the spread of COVIC-19 they are recommending that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings where social distancing measures can be difficult to maintain, such as grocery stores and pharmacies,’ Melania Trump says in the message.
As the CDC studies the spread of #COVID-19, they recommend people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when social distancing can be hard to do. Remember, this does NOT replace the importance of social distancing. pic.twitter.com/HRaQHFgXxn
