The Hill reports:
“The View” co-host Meghan McCain on Tuesday knocked President Trump’s tweet honoring former prisoners of war after he previously attacked her father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), for being captured during the Vietnam War.
The president honored National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day on his Twitter account, saying, “We pay tribute to these Patriots for their unwavering and unrelenting spirit!” McCain resurfaced Trump’s 2015 comments about her father, saying, “No one has forgotten this is how you honor POW’s.”
On National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day, we honor the more than 500,000 American warriors captured while protecting our way of life. We pay tribute to these Patriots for their unwavering and unrelenting spirit! https://t.co/KOI7Qd1pZx

“John McCain is not a ‘war hero.’ He is a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured, let me tell you.”

We know Trump didn’t write this. It’s grammatically correct, uses correct spelling, and doesn’t insult John McCain. https://t.co/WFPQPBAKLy

Trump fakes bone spurs, dodges the draft, lies about brain injuries in Iran bombing, attacks Gold Star families, combat widows and John McCain, says he knows more than the generals and fired a captain for protecting his crew.
And some nuts still think he’s “pro-military.”
