The New York Post reports:
The MTA will cut service on subways, buses and commuter rails as it grapples with a spike in coronavirus-related sick calls, officials said Tuesday night. Starting Wednesday, the agency will cut subway service by 25%, working on a modified schedule that concentrates service in the morning and evening peak.
The B, W and Z lines will continue to be out of commission, as they were on Tuesday, and a number of express lines and segments will also no longer run, MTA Chief Operating Officer Mario Peloquin said at an afternoon press conference.
On Thursday, buses will scale back service — also by 25% — followed by cuts to Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North trips on Friday, which will also concentrate service during peak hours.
