New York City Pride: We’re Still On For June 2020

Just in via email from New York City Pride:

The safety of NYC Pride’s members, volunteers, staff, and the community at large is our highest priority when it comes to creating Pride events and programs. Because of this, it is important that we share with you the steps we are taking to ensure your health and safety as the coronavirus situation continues to evolve.

After speaking with our co-chairs and various volunteer directors, we have decided and prepared for all staff to work from home and for meetings to be moved online for the foreseeable future in order to align with the health and safety protocols outlined by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As of today, March 13, NYC Pride is working on our June 2020 events 100% as planned. As we do each year, we are in ongoing conversations with the city and state on best practices for all of our programming and will continue to ensure that our 20+ events, including the 50th Anniversary of the NYC Pride March, are healthy, safe, and inclusive for all.

The message above surely comes in response to last night’s decision to postpone by Los Angeles Pride.
