Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney Opts Out Of Senate Bid

The Washington Examiner reports:

Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming has decided against running for Senate in 2020. The No. 3 ranking House Republican had considered her options for several months after Sen. Mike Enzi announced he would not seek reelection.

Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, was a strong interest in foreign policy, leading to assumptions that she would run for Senate.

But the Casper Star Tribune reported on Thursday that Cheney will run for reelection to her at-large House seat and presumably seek to stay on as House Republican Conference chairwoman.
