Senate Vote On Acquittal Likely To Be On Wednesday

NPR reports:

The Senate still must vote on whether or not to acquit Trump of the charges against him, a vote now expected to come next Wednesday, Republican Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri told reporters.

The agreement would give senators the weekend off, with the trial resuming Monday with closing arguments from both sides, as well as time for senators to give public speeches explaining their positions.

The president faces two articles of impeachment: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress related to accusations that he held up military aid to Ukraine until the country announced investigations into potential political rival former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
