Reuters reports:
President Donald Trump on Tuesday brushed off North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s warning of a “Christmas gift”, saying the United States would “deal with it very successfully” and that perhaps it would be a “nice present”.
“We’ll find out what the surprise is and we’ll deal with it very successfully,” Trump told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort. “We’ll see what happens. Maybe it’s a nice present,” he quipped. “Maybe it’s a present where he sends me a beautiful vase.”
During his teleconference with military members, President Trump tells reporters he’ll handle whatever Christmas gift North Korea has threatened when it comes along. “Maybe it’s a nice present. Maybe it’s a present where he sends me a beautiful vase instead of a missile test.”

Pyongyang recently threatened a “Christmas gift” if there was no progress on lifting sanctions. “What I would expect is some kind of long-range ballistic missile would be the ‘gift,’” Gen. Charles Brown Jr., the commander of Pacific Air Forces, said.

“Does it come on Christmas Eve? Does it come on Christmas Day? Does it come after the new year? One of my responsibilities is to pay attention that.” https://t.co/a7a3kvgKfU
