Michigan Live reports:
Once again, President Donald Trump claims he was named Michigan’s ‘Man of the Year.’ He even went a step further to say he is the reason for Michigan’s “best year it’s ever had.”
While the crowd in Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek was swayed, there still hasn’t been any evidence of this claim that the president said in August in New Hampshire.
Former U.S. Rep. Dave Trott attempted to debunk the “false claim.” Trott said the claim can probably be traced back to a 2013 speech Trump made at the Oakland County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner where Trott handed Trump a framed Gettysburg Address, not an award.
Trump repeats maybe my favorite of all of his lies, claiming he was once named “Man of the Year” in Michigan. He adds, “By, I think — somebody, whoever. I was the Man of the Year in Michigan.”

Trump says Michigan is having its best year of all time, but because of him, not because of “local” government, like the state’s Democratic governor, who is doing a bad job.
