Michigan Live reports:
The Shiawassee County Prosecutor’s Office has authorized murder and mutilation charges against a 50-year-old Morrice-area resident in the death of 25-year-old Kevin Bacon. The prosecutor’s office released the 50-year-old man’s name on Monday, but The Flint Journal-MLive is not naming him until his arraignment.
Bacon’s friend and roommate, Michelle Myers, previously told The Flint Journal-MLive that at around 5 p.m. Dec. 24, Bacon told her he was meeting up with a man he met on the Grindr dating app. Bacon texted Myers he was going to be out for a while, and he wasn’t sure when he’d be back, but that he was having fun, Myers said.
Bacon’s family alerted police when he failed to appear on Christmas Day. Hit the link for more details.
This man was victim to a predator on the social media dating app, Grindr. How can these apps protect their users? #KSUSocial https://t.co/GXugDwlW7q

A fellow Swiftie and Michigander, Kevin Bacon was found murdered this morning. He went missing on Christmas Eve after meeting someone from @grindr. Kevin’s car was abandoned, as were his clothes, and car. His Grindr messages were deleted but Grindr refused to restore them (1/2)

to help police. Even worse? The man in custody for murdering Kevin was investigated last month after a man escaped his basement and was running through the streets naked claiming he was kidnapped. Police disregarded this mans statements. Now Kevin is dead. (2/2)
