The New Yorker reports:
After President Trump gave Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the green light to invade northern Syria last weekend, thus unleashing chaos in the region, Trump wrote him a very strange letter, obtained by Fox Business’s Trish Regan.
The message’s theme – that Erdogan should show military restraint – was straightforward, but the prose style and phrasing, which includes the lines “Don’t be a tough guy. Be smart!” are so surpassingly weird in a high-level diplomatic context that many wondered if the note was authentic. It is.

GASP
Trump literally trashes Erdogan in a letter that was supposed to be helping meditation efforts between SDF and Turkey.

Obviously White House leaked this letter for domestic consumption to show that Trump was tough on Erdogan.
And this is already a public scandal in Turkey amid Pence/Pompeo visit

Is today April Fool’s day?
It has to be April Fool’s day because there is no way he sent that unprofessional, choppy, middle-schoolish text message with exclamation points to Erdogan on official WH letterhead.
Does anyone have a calendar??
